One trial lesson with the right teacher before any term commitment, then straightforward enrolment if you want to continue.

Every new student starts with a single trial lesson, matched to instrument and rough level from a short phone or email conversation with the office. It is a real lesson, not a sales pitch: the teacher works with the student as they would in any normal week and writes a short note afterward on fit and next steps. There is no obligation to continue, and most families decide inside the lesson itself rather than needing the note to make up their minds.

Is the trial lesson free?

No, it is thirty five dollars, and it is credited toward your first term of lessons if you enrol within two weeks. We found a free trial attracted people who were never going to enrol, which meant less room for families who were.

What if the trial lesson shows the wrong instrument?

It happens. The teacher will say so honestly, and we will help book a second trial on a different instrument rather than push ahead with the wrong fit.

How soon can we start after enrolling?

Usually the following week, subject to a slot being available with the right teacher. Popular after school times fill first, so mornings and early afternoons tend to have more room.
