The vocal booth is a small glass walled room in the annex, built so Ingrid can cue a breath or a cut off from the other side of the glass without stepping into the shot, which is exactly the moment the second film captures. Lessons start with breath support and pitch work before song choice, and every student gets a short recording of their own voice by the end of term so progress is something you can actually hear rather than take on faith.

My child's voice is still changing, is that a problem?

It changes what we work on, not whether they can have lessons. Ingrid adjusts range and technique through a breaking voice rather than pausing lessons altogether.

Is this classical or contemporary voice?

Contemporary and music theatre voice, mostly. If a student wants classical technique specifically we will say so honestly and point you toward a teacher who specialises in it.

Do you record every lesson?

No, just a short piece at the end of term so there is something to compare against next term. Weekly lessons are not recorded.
